If the information you seek is not found here, please call me at school, 633-0140 and leave a message on my voice mail, 240. For immediate help, please consult your child's assignment book. You should find my home contact number on the first page. Please do not call after 9:00 pm.
Your child has a Blue Folder with as much information as I can give you for this year. There are copies of four types of days' schedules as well as expectations and subject goals If you are confused by your child's classes check their personal daily schedule. Assignment books are really important for the students to use - daily!
"Look to a Future Filled with Hope" is our school's theme this year. There are several changes and adjustments to be made this year and we are working hard to achieve a high level of excellence. Sixth grade is self contained, as is fifth grade. Mrs. Zoeller has taken on teaching science as well as math to both fifth and sixth grades while I have taken on teaching social studies as well as reading to both. I am working to mesh reading material with the social studies topics in addition to introducing more interesting stories into the curriculum. In sixth grade we study the Greek myths in our Friday classes. Please refer to the blue folder for many more details.

If you wish to reach me, please telephone me at school using the information in paragraph 2, or call me at home - 961-8454. If you or child leaves a 'clear' message I will return your call as soon as I receive it. I will not call back later than 9:00pm. You may send a note to school. I really do not "do" e-mail comfortably. I do phone messages though. I do check my school e-mail, but not daily. That phone call will really get faster results.
We are in need of parent volunteers (when have we not been?) for playground and cafeteria help. This year I will often be in the cafeteria and on the playground with them. However, it's a BIG playground! Any help is good for the children and greatly appreciated. Please contact the school office if you're able to give even one day a week...or month.
Again this year I will stay after school for students to work on their homework on Mondays. I will begin Monday, September 14 - 3:00 to 3:45. Please send an extra snack/beverage with them those days. It's easy to pick them up at the east door by our classroom. Everyone is welcome.
Please check the events section for periodic announcements and nightly homework assignments that I am aware of. I may miss a science or math, but I will try very
hard to be complete.
