Spanish is taught at Seven Holy Founders to all students in Kindergartem through Seventh Grade. Next year, it will include K-8.We believe that in our ever-changing world, it is important for our childeren to be able to communicate with people from different backgrounds, as well as to understand and apprectiate cultural differences. Many experts agree that learning a foreign language aids in brain development, leading to greater success in other academic areas.

I have been teaching for over 25 years, and hold Missouri state Certification, in Spanish, Grades K-12, as well as Elementary Subject Grades K-8. This is my tenth year at Seven Holy Founders, and my second year as the Spanish teacher.

My goal is to help the children acquire a solid grasp of Spanish grammar while experiencing practical conversational and writing skills. In addition, we cover cultural and seasonal topics as they occur. For example, all the children learned about Dia do los Muertos during October, and most also learned the Hail Mary in Spanish, in honor of the month of the Rosary.
