In addition to services provided in parish school classrooms with the assistance of learning consultants, the Archdiocese of St. Louis offers individualized education for students with learning disabilities and attention problems.
Classes with certified special education teachers, limited class sizes (12 or fewer; ages 7 - 14), are offered in some parochial schools. Students attend parochial school classes for homeroom, music, gym, etc., and receive specialized instruction in academic subjects like reading, math, and language arts.
Seven Holy Founders will have one of these Archdiocesan Learning Centers next school year. Families and children in the Learning Center enjoy a social relationship with the parish school community, while financial arrangements are through the Archdiocesan Department of Special Education.
