Parents as Teachers - All Mehlville School District residents with children prenatal to age three are eligible for free participation in the Mehlville Parents as Teachers (PAT) program.
Children begin learning even before birth and learn more during the first five years of life than at any other time. PAT is an early learning program that supports parents in their role as the first and most influential teachers of their children.
Participating families receive personalized home visits with a certified Parent Educator, periodic develop-mental screenings, newsletters and opportunities to attend parent/child work-shops and group meetings on parenting issues.
